CONTINUE ON, STRUGGLER

“I had a dream.”

“We sat under a full moon... and you never left.”
“You never abandoned your oath. You never abandoned your banner. You never abandoned me.”
“And when I woke up, only a fleeting sense of it remains.”

“Now, I set the terms of your departure.”

“You'll leave this world like how your mother was when she brought you into it.”

— Hung from a tree.

Continue on, Struggler.

Eikenheim

Eikenheim

You were born under a jacaranda tree, from a mother already hanging from it. The men who cut you loose called it an omen. Your stepfather believed them for the rest of his life. There was no blessing in that house, only his failures, and the guilt of them, and nowhere to put either but on you. You were the reason she was dead. You were the reason his life in Eikenheim was a misery.

You did what you could to make Eikenheim a home anyway. In the end, it was Azazelia who recruited you.

Azazelia

A hero of the realm, and a commander of the Imperium's knights. She gave you a sword. She gave you a purpose. And some nights, she gave you more.

But the Empress you both served, Faustas of the Interius Imperium, had an ambition that nothing could check. She tore divinity out of the realm of the gods and dragged it down into this imperfect one.

And Azazelia wanted a taste of it.

So you broke your oath to go and slay the mad Empress. And look where that got you.

Himinheim

Himinheim

What felt like minutes after you were slain, you woke in a strange world. You would learn, eventually, that it is called Himinheim. The ground is frozen. The storms never end. The living keep to the sky, above the clouds.

You spent twenty-two Bears on the ice, in torment. A Bear is a year here. You did not know that yet.

And above you, all that while, a princess was born to a loving family. Born remembering the guilt of her last life. Born with her sins, and rewarded with a loving home and a throne to inherit.

The crew of the Edelweiss

Lynaeve's ship and Lynaeve's people, sworn to Ravngard, the horned elves' peak-hold on the Tindar range. They pulled you off the ice.

Ravngard  ·  House Morvran, the royal house

Lynaeve

Lynaeve

Heir of Ravngard and the youngest lancer in its Order. Captain of the Edelweiss. Sweet-voiced and saccharine, until a room turns competitive and someone older looks out of her eyes. She has Azazelia's face. She pulled a corpse off the ice, and she has said nothing.

Lynaeve, off duty

Ravngard  ·  House Branan, the cadet house

Sera

Sera Branan

Lynaeve's cousin, raised in the same nursery, the ship's healer. She never once beat Lynaeve in a fight, so she stopped fighting at ten and learned to draw warmth into wounds instead. The one person Lynaeve lets fuss over her.

Sera Branan

Ravngard  ·  Quartermaster of the Edelweiss

Rackham

Rackham

Six foot eight, a sailor's mouth, and a laugh after every oath. He carried you up the chain like loot. He will call you corpse until you earn a better word.

Ravngard  ·  Cartographer of the Edelweiss, the king's old squire

Thom

Sir Thom Alder

Reads wind-lanes and charts better than anyone in the Order, and will correct your sarcasm to irony, kindly. No chart in Himinheim has the valley you were found in. His does.

Ulvgard

The human war-kingdom at the other end of the Tindar. The rival peak, and the house of both courts want her married into.

Ulvgard  ·  Son of Jarl Sigvard

Adrius

Adrius

Prince of Ulvgard, captain of the Grimvarg, and the man both courts expect Lynaeve to marry. He loves her and says so plainly, then makes a joke of it before she can answer. If a stranger stands too close to her, Adrius stays friendly... and then learns the stranger's name.

The wiki

Use the second intro to ask around about the world: the moons, the crew, the magic, the faiths, what the princess is hiding. It is out of character and nothing you type there happens to anyone. It exists because I'm too fucking lazy to make a complete, readable lorebook.

The hidden line

Every one of the bot's posts ends with an invisible line, [](lore: tag, tag), that pulls the lorebook. If the bot hallucinates, or a post comes back without it, reroll. You can write one yourself at the end of your message to pull entries too.

Save state

Send exactly SAVE_RP or SUMMARIZE_RP for the bot's own chat summary. Optional, and better than JanitorAI's auto-summary for my bots.
